Hear from our parents

Active Explorers Leeston has provided our children with a safe learning environment where their own individual needs and personalities are being nurtured. This has given us the peace of mind to be able to go to work, upskill and attend full-time study. It means the world to know that our kids are getting an experience on par to what they would be getting at home with us, with the added bonus of socialisation and creating special bonds with their kaiako. The staff at Lollipops Birkenhead represent the diversity that we have here in Aotearoa. Languages, cultural values and cultures are valued and celebrated in an authentic way. From teachers and children speaking their mother tongue daily, right thought to cultural celebrations at the centre. The teachers all bring different strengths but have one thing in common - the way they care for the children. There is a warmth when you see the teachers interacting with the children. They build wonderful relationships and really get to know them. Casey Simson

Hear from our parents

All three of my children have been through Active Explorers Leeston. The preparation they are doing for school is really valuable. They are encouraging independence in so many different ways. The children have hooks for their bags, a special spot for their lunchbox and drink bottle, and they focus on a letter of the week each week. I think that’s really great preparation for school because that’s exactly the environment they’ll be transitioning into. Bec Fearnley

Hear from our parents

Our daughter started at Active Explorers Central City when she was six months old. Naturally we were nervous around picking the right centre to care for her, however the staff are so friendly and caring, we couldn't be happier with the choice we made. Over a year later she is so happy in the centre, she loves all the activities they do, especially the songs, water play and mealtimes. We love seeing her grow in confidence and develop new interests.
