Meet our Centre Manager
Kia ora!
My name is Lena, I have over 25 years’ experience in education within the private sector, non for profit and training establishments. I am passionate about the Early Childhood sector and it’s a privilege to be working alongside amazing teachers and parents to provide the ultimate learning environment for children.
I have 3 fantastic children that keep my husband, and I super busy with traveling around New Zealand and abroad with all their sporting, art, music and many other achievements.

At Active Explorers Grenada, we’re all about giving children the best possible start in life. With a focus on inclusion, cultural diversity, and community, we create an environment where tamariki feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.
Our centre is purpose-built with spacious rooms and outdoor areas that make the most of our native surroundings. Children can play, explore, and learn in a peaceful environment filled with birdsong and nature.
Each day is filled with exciting opportunities for discovery. From music and mindfulness to art and science, our curriculum is rich and engaging. We celebrate events like Matariki, Diwali, and Christmas, and enjoy fun days like PJ Day and Bike Day. Our centre is organised by age groups, so each child receives care and education suited to their stage of development.
