Meet our Centre Manager

Welcome to Active Explorers Rolleston! My name is Rashmeek, and I am honoured to serve as the Centre Manager to this community. Originally from India, I made New Zealand my home in 2008 alongside my husband, and together, we are proud parents of two.
With over fifteen years of experience in the Early Childhood Education sector—mostly in leadership roles, I am naturally passionate about creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where children receive the best possible care and education during their formative years.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my journey has been mentoring fellow teachers and leaders, as I firmly believe that knowledge shared is knowledge doubled. I am incredibly proud of my dedicated team here at Active Explorers Rolleston and cannot wait to introduce you and your little one to all the exciting things we do!

At Active Explorers Rolleston, we believe in supporting each child to thrive at their own pace. Our dedicated, multicultural team tailors learning experiences to suit every child’s interests and developmental needs. We create a welcoming space where children feel valued and confident, ready to explore and learn through play.
Our centre is set in a spacious, natural environment with large playgrounds and a beautiful tree-lined setting, providing a safe and calming atmosphere for children to enjoy. We maintain a low teacher-to-child ratio, exceeding the Ministry of Education requirements, to ensure your child receives the attention and care they need.
From infants to preschoolers, we offer a diverse curriculum based on Te Whāriki. Our activities are designed to engage children in meaningful ways, whether through regular excursions, multicultural celebrations, or hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity and creativity.
