My name is Judy-Anne Morgan. I have been working in early childhood education for approximately 30 years. Over this time, I have found immense joy in supporting tamariki as they grow, explore, and develop into confident, capable learners.

I believe in preparing children to be life ready - empowering them to thrive not just within educational settings, but in the world around them. My approach is grounded in the value of learning through real-life experiences, particularly within our communities and natural environments. I am passionate about using local, natural resources and fostering a strong sense of belonging by helping children connect with the community they live in.

About Learning Adventures Rotorua

At Learning Adventures Rotorua Kea, we focus on fostering a sense of belonging, curiosity, and community. By integrating local knowledge and cultural values, we create an environment where tamariki are encouraged to explore and learn through play.

Our centre features a spacious indoor area set up with engaging play zones, and our outdoor space includes climbing frames, mud pits, and areas for quiet play. We also offer regular excursions, enriching our tamariki’s learning with real-world experiences.

We have learning spaces for different age groups: the Kiwi Nursery for our youngest learners, the Kiwi Toddlers room for those developing independence, and the Kea Room where tamariki approach school readiness. Each area is designed to meet the specific developmental needs of the children in our care.

Our Spaces

At Learning Adventures Rotorua Kea, our spaces are designed for exploration and creativity. With a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor areas, we provide a range of learning activities, from messy play to nature exploration. Our centre fosters curiosity, social interaction, and environmental responsibility.

0–2 years

Kiwi Nursery

The Kiwi Nursery offers a gentle, nurturing space where our youngest tamariki can explore through sensory play, music, and safe interactions. We follow each child’s home routine to help them feel settled and supported.

2-3.5 years

Kiwi Toddlers

In the Kiwi Toddlers room, tamariki begin to develop independence through guided play and structured learning experiences. We focus on language development, motor skills, and early social interactions in a playful and supportive environment.

3.5 - 6 years

Kea Room

The Kea Room is designed for tamariki approaching school age, offering a more structured learning environment that prepares them for the transition to school. We focus on enhancing cognitive skills, social responsibility, and creativity through exploration and group learning.
