Meet our Centre Manager

Kia ora

My name is Dale and I am married with 4 beautiful daughters. I have been working in the education sector primarily in early childhood for the last 30 years.

During this time, I have had the pleasure of working both here and overseas in China. My pedagogy fits well within a play-based approach to learning but have also had experience working within a Montessori based approach.

I’m blessed to be working with a wonderful group of educators who put the children at the heart of everything they do.

Our purpose-built centre is designed to provide a safe and engaging space where children can learn and grow. With age-specific rooms, we offer programmes that are carefully tailored to support each child’s development, while nurturing their love of learning.

Life at our centre is full of exciting learning experiences. From outdoor play and visits to local parks to cultural celebrations and community walks, there’s always something new to explore and enjoy. We ensure every child has the chance to grow at their own pace in a fun, supportive environment.

Our dedicated team creates a warm, loving space where children and families feel supported. With expertise in areas such as music, art, Te Ao Māori, and intentional teaching, we work closely with whānau to nurture each child’s development and create a sense of belonging.

Our Rooms

Our centre has been purpose-built to create a space where children of all ages can thrive. With bright, open rooms and shared outdoor areas, we foster learning, exploration, and connection in a safe and welcoming environment.

0 - 1 year

Kākāriki

In Kākāriki, our littlest learners enjoy a calm, sensory-rich environment. Learning experiences focus on early exploration, building bonds, and supporting the development of motor skills. We offer a warm and nurturing space for babies to feel secure while discovering the world around them.

1 - 2 years

Kahurangi

Kahurangi is where toddlers start to explore their independence and social skills. We provide hands-on, interactive learning experiences that encourage communication, creativity, and emotional growth. This space is designed to foster curiosity and the joy of discovery.

2 - 3 years

Karaka

In Karaka, children continue to develop their social and motor skills through play. The room is set up for problem-solving, cooperative experiences, and creative expression, with a focus on learning through exploration and hands-on experiences.

3 - 4 years

Kōwhai

Kōwhai is where children begin to prepare for school with more structured learning experiences. We focus on building literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills through interactive, engaging play. Children are encouraged to work both independently and as part of a group.

3 - 4 years

Whero

Whero is our preschool room, designed to help children make the transition to school. Here, children engage in more complex learning experiences that develop critical thinking, independence, and collaboration. It’s a space where they’re supported as they take on new challenges and prepare for the next step in their learning journey.
