Welcome to Little Wonders Timaru, a warm and welcoming childcare centre in Timaru. We provide a safe, fun environment where tamariki, from infants to young learners, can explore, grow, and develop at their own pace. Our focus is on nurturing creativity, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Meet our Centre Manager

Kia ora

I’m a qualified, registered early childhood teacher with over 15 years of experience. My journey began as a Nanny, sparking my passion for supporting children’s development and leading to a Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I’ve worked with Evolve for 8 years, driven by a love for teaching, inspiring, and advocating for tamariki. I naturally build strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and kaimahi, helping meet their aspirations. I enjoy watching children grow through play-based learning.

Outside work, I spend time with family, friends, and enjoy participating in sports.

Life at Little Wonders is filled with exciting learning experiences, from outdoor play and challenges to creative projects and learning through exploration. We cater to tamariki at various developmental stages, ensuring each child is supported and encouraged as they learn and grow.

Our Rooms

Little Wonders Timaru is designed with your tamariki in mind, offering a safe, stimulating environment where they can explore, learn, and develop. Our spacious indoor and outdoor areas give tamariki the freedom to play, create, and connect with others.

0–1 years

Mataī

The Mataī room is a calm and nurturing space where our youngest tamariki begin their journey of exploration. With sensory learning experiences and safe play spaces, infants can develop their motor skills and enjoy one-on-one interactions with their dedicated teachers in a peaceful environment.

1 - 2 years

Tawa

The Tawa room is designed to spark curiosity and encourage early social skills. Tamariki enjoy a variety of creative learning experiences, building independence and learning to interact with others as they develop language and motor skills in a supportive space.

2 - 3.5 years

Rimu

In the Rimu room, tamariki engage in imaginative play, problem-solving, and social development. With opportunities for exploration and creative expression, this room encourages tamariki to discover the world around them while building key skills in a fun, interactive environment.

3.5 - 5 years

Kauri

The Kauri room is where tamariki get ready for the next big steps in their learning journey. With a focus on creativity, collaborative play, and independent thinking, this room offers a range of learning experiences that help children develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and a love of learning.
