Meet our Centre Manager

Kia ora
My name is Cindy Naidoo, and I’m excited to join Lollipops Birkenhead as Centre Manager.
I immigrated to New Zealand from South Africa in 2022 and hold a bachelor’s in education, specializing in Early Childhood Development and the Foundation Phase.
With over 12 years’ experience in ECE and Primary, including leadership roles, I bring strengths in curriculum support, management, and quality systems.
I’m passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing environments where children thrive. Guided by Te Whāriki and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, I value teamwork, professionalism, and growth. Outside of work, I enjoy quality time with my family - cooking, crafting, and exploring nature.
What makes us special
About Lollipops Birkenhead
At Lollipops Birkenhead, we believe tamariki learn best through play, imagination, and discovery. Guided by Te Whāriki, we create rich learning experiences that reflect our children’s individual interests, sharing and enjoying the diverse cultures that make up our centre whānau.
Our spacious, purpose-designed centre features separate outdoor areas for each age group – with sandpits, tunnels, moveable equipment, and plenty of space to run, climb, and ride. Covered areas mean outdoor fun can happen rain or shine.
Centre life is vibrant and varied. We offer regular excursions to places like Eskdale Reserve and Verran Primary School, and fun events like our much-loved Bike Day. Our tamariki are provided age appropriate learning experiences supported with the right resources and routines, including our Koru Club - a special programme to help prepare older children for the transition to school.
