Lollipops Educare North Harbour is nestled in Totara Vale on Auckland’s North Shore. We offer affordable, high-quality early learning and care for infants, toddlers, and young learners. Our centre is a warm, homely space where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn and grow every day.

Kia ora

My name is Elise! I’ve always loved being around children. Even as a child, even as a child I loved playing with dolls and acting out care routines with them. It just seemed a natural career path to me for as long as I can remember. So, becoming an early childhood teacher felt like a natural path. I began working in ECE in 2007 and became a qualified teacher in 2009.

I love seeing the joy in children’s eyes as they explore and discover the world around them. At Lollipops North Harbour, we have a warm, dedicated team, a beautiful outdoor space, and wonderful families. I value respectful relationships and believe they are the foundation of great learning. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family, the beach, and reading.

At Lollipops North Harbour, we’re all about creating a nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment where children can truly thrive. Our philosophy is grounded in Manaakitanga – showing kindness, generosity, and care within our community. Through strong relationships, nature-based learning, and a focus on wellbeing, we support every child’s unique learning journey.

Our centre features spacious outdoor play areas, beautiful gardens, and three cosy, converted home-style buildings that create a calm, welcoming setting. With easy access to parks, a local primary school, and nearby workplaces, we’re a convenient choice for busy whānau in the area.

Inside, tamariki are grouped by age across three dedicated buildings: Kiwi, Fantail, and Kākāpō. Each space is thoughtfully designed to suit their stage of development, with tailored routines and learning experiences that build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love for learning.

Our Team

We have a passionate team of educators who take pride in creating a warm, loving environment where tamariki and their families feel truly supported. Open communication and partnership with whānau are central to how we work.

Many of our kaiako (teachers) have been part of our centre for years, and some have returned after time away, reflecting the strong connection they feel to our centre values and community.

Kiwi Team
Specialists in infant care, offering nurturing routines and secure, trusting relationships.

Fantail Team
Skilled in guiding tamariki through key transitions, encouraging growing independence while maintaining strong family bonds.

Kākāpō Team
Focused on extending self-help skills and freedom of choice, with the Reggio Approach thoughtfully woven into daily learning.

Together, our teams create a safe, inclusive environment where each child feels valued and supported through every step of their early learning journey.

Our Rooms

Our centre operates from three cosy, converted houses that add to the homely, relaxed feel that families love. Each building is thoughtfully set up to reflect children’s developmental needs, while our outdoor spaces are full of opportunities for imaginative, physical, and nature-based play.

0-2 years

Kiwi Building

This nurturing space is all about supporting our youngest tamariki. Soft furnishings, calm routines, and loving kaiako help babies settle, explore, and connect confidently with their world.

2-3 years

Fantail Building

Here, tamariki begin building independence through play and routine. With caring guidance, they explore new challenges, practice self-help skills, and prepare for the next stage of learning.

3-5 years

Kākāpō Building

Designed for our oldest learners, this building promotes independence, creativity, and choice. Our kaiako integrate the Reggio Emilia philosophy, encouraging tamariki to lead their own learning in a safe, inspiring space
