Meet our Centre Manager

Kia ora
My name is Abashia! With 12 years in early childhood education, I’m passionate about supporting children’s development and building strong relationships with families and colleagues.
I love the daily interactions, the fun, and the joy of watching children reach milestones. At Lollipops Pukekohe, our close-knit, diverse community and low staff turnover make us special. I especially enjoy celebrating cultural events and summer’s outdoor play.
Outside of work, I spend time with family and friends, and enjoy camping and fishing. I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and a Diploma in Primary Teaching. Every day in this field brings something new and rewarding.
What makes us special
About Lollipops Pukekohe
At Lollipops Pukekohe, we believe tamariki learn best through play. Our approach supports each child to grow and develop at their own pace, while embracing the rich cultures and backgrounds that make our centre so special.
Our purpose-built centre features spacious, inviting indoor and outdoor areas where tamariki can explore, create, and learn. We provide healthy meals and snacks, supply nappies, and offer a home-like environment that helps children feel safe and confident.
Centre life is filled with vibrant learning experiences, from cultural celebrations to hands-on learning experiences. We cater for children from 3 months to 6 years, with two age-appropriate rooms and a strong Pathways to School programme that supports independence and school readiness.
